Before selection
- The offer: age eligibility, dates, format, capacity, full family cost, support limits, cancellation terms and supervision.
- The assessment: readiness, cricket ability, performance, role balance and availability. Preparation, fitness, attendance and conduct expectations must suit the player’s age and allow reasonable accommodations.
- The decision: an approved process with at least two unconflicted assessors. Explain non selection and the next development step.
Playing expectations
Competitive decisions pursue team performance; equal playing time is not guaranteed. Agree realistic roles beforehand. Afterwards, review time on the field, batting and bowling exposure, and development needs.
A place covers the stated season or event. Community membership and enrolled local development continue beyond selection.
Fair selection and travel requirements
Donations, fundraising, volunteering, parent officeholding, sponsorship and coaching purchases never influence selection.
Players from any academy, or none, may be considered subject to competition eligibility and existing team commitments.
Travel requires an approved event, sporting selection, available funding and documented eligible costs. An allocation creates no personal cash balance or automatic trip entitlement.
Published policy should allow procedural review of eligibility, conflicts, factual errors and application of criteria. A review does not guarantee selection.
